The Relative Frequency is how often something happens out of all possible outcomes. Here you have numbers -- Arts - 5 more, 8 less Crafts- 10 more, 4 less ------------------- What is the relative frequency of people who exercise more than 5 hours a week in Arts class? There are 5 people in arts that exercise more than 5 hours/week. The total number of people all together surveyed is 5 + 8 + 10 + 4 = 27 people There are 5 out of 27 people that are in this catagory Relative Frequency = 5/27 = 0.19

7. Another money problem!

n-# of nickels

q-# of quarters

n=3+q

0.05n+0.25q=2.85

Substitution works like a charm!

0.05(3+q)+0.25q=2.85

0.15+0.05q+0.25q=2.85

0.3q=2.7

q=9

n=3+q

n=3+9

n=12

answer: 9 nickels and 12 quarters

8. One variable situation again.

Ann's money-2b+9

s-number of student tickets

a+s=785 ----> a=785-s

5a+2s=3280

5(785-s)+2s=3280

-3s=-645

s=215

a+s=785

a+215=785

a=570

answer: 215 children tickets and 570 adult tickets

Stephen uses \dfrac{2}{25}
zepelin [54]

Answer:

13\dfrac{3}{4}$ servings

Step-by-step explanation:

Stephen uses \dfrac{2}{25} kilograms of tofu in each serving of his dish.

He has 1\dfrac{1}{10} kilograms of tofu.

We want to determine how many servings Stephen can make.

To do this, we divide the total weight of tofu by the weight per serving.

\dfrac{\text{Total Weight(in kg)}}{\text{Weight(kg) per serving}} =\dfrac{1\dfrac{1}{10}}{ \dfrac{2}{25}}\\ = \dfrac{11}{10}\div  \dfrac{2}{25}\\\\= \dfrac{11}{10}X  \dfrac{25}{2}\\\\= \dfrac{11X25}{10X2}\\\\= \dfrac{275}{20}\\\\=13\dfrac{3}{4}$ servings

Stephen can make 13\dfrac{3}{4}$ servings .
