Wilson's "Fourteen Points" were his ideas for the world after World War I. His goals were laid out in this document. The ultimate goal was to maintain a peace amongst all nations in order to prevent another world war. This is why Woodrow Wilson developed the idea of an international organization that worked to keep the peace between different countries. This organization would be known as the League of Nations. Even though the League of Nations never lives up to its promise, it does set the groundwork for the United Nations (which still exists today).
