Answer:

D) Were issued by President Wilson as a basis for a lasting peace.

Explanation:

Wilson's "Fourteen Points" were his ideas for the world after World War I. His goals were laid out in this document. The ultimate goal was to maintain a peace amongst all nations in order to prevent another world war. This is why Woodrow Wilson developed the idea of an international organization that worked to keep the peace between different countries. This organization would be known as the League of Nations. Even though the League of Nations never lives up to its promise, it does set the groundwork for the United Nations (which still exists today).

How might this "cultural colonialism" affect Asia even today?
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

Even after the end of colonial empires and the rise of new , modern states in Asia after WWII, old racist prejudices remain. Some circles in Europe, Australia and the US (the West) continue to believe in the superiority of Western values and models, demeaning Asian local cultures and experiences. Those notions and attitudes usually fail to understand local history and political cultures, and customs.

Why was the Lowell mill system so revolutionary
Shtirlitz [24]
The Lowell mills were the first hint of the industrial revolution to come in the United States, and with their success came two different views of the factories. For many of the mill girls, employment brought a sense of freedom. Unlike most young women of that era, they were free from parental authority, were able to earn their own money, and had broader educational opportunities. Many observers saw this challenge to the traditional roles of women as a threat to the American way of life. Others criticized the entire wage-labor factory system as a form of slavery and actively condemned and campaigned against the harsh working conditions and long hours and the increasing divisions between workers and factory owners.
