The bone that aligns with the cuneiforms is the cuboid bone. Together they articulate with the metatarsals of the foot.

The cuboid is the most lateral bone in the distal row. He articulates with the calcaneus posteriorly, and the first and second metatarsals anteriorly.

The three cuneiforms articulate with the navicular  bone posteriorly, and the metatarsals anteriorly.
