Answer:

X = 8 And y = 1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

add equaction i and education ii,

2 -5y = 1

2x +5y = 17

------------------

2+2x = 18

or, 2x = 18 - 2

or X = 16/2

or X = 8

Again from equation i,

2 - 5y = 1

or, -5y = 1 - 2

or, -5y = -1

or, y = -1/-5 (cut the subtraction sign)

or, y = 1/5

Find the equation for the circle with center (4,-5) and passing through (5,-4)
jasenka [17]

Answer:

  (x -4)^2 +(y +5)^2 = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle centered at (h, k) through point (p, q) is ...

  (x -h)^2 +(y -k)^2 = (p -h)^2 +(q -k)^2

Filling in your given numbers gives ...

  (x -4)^2 +(y +5)^2 = (5-4)^2 +(-4+5)^2

  (x -4)^2 +(y -5)^2 = 2

In playing Monopoly, rolling doubles three times in a row sends you to jail. What is the probability of rolling three consecutiv
Alex777 [14]
To find the probability you must multiply the probability of rolling doubles by itself 3 times.

to roll a double  of any number you have to have the same number on a six-sided die that can be represented as 1/6 times 1/6 = 1/36 chance per roll

\frac{1}{36} * \frac{1}{36} * \frac{1}{36} = \frac{1}{46656}

there is a 1 in 46656 chance in rolling doubles 3 times in a row.
