It would be C and here's why:
you originally start with 3x² - 14x - 5.  The AC method to factoring says you have to get two middle terms that multiply to whatever 3 × -5 is and have to add to -14. Well 3 × -5 is -15. Raul chose two middle terms of 15x and -1x and 15 × -1 is -15 so that part is correct. However 15 - 1 = 14. The middle term of our original trinomial is -14 so "<span>The two middle coefficients multiply to the correct number, but do not add to the correct number."</span>

Write 2,930,365 in expanded notation
Snowcat [4.5K]

Step-by-step explanation: The place value chart can help us write a number in expanded notation. When we put 2,930,365 into the place value chart, we can recognize that our number is equal to 2 millions + 9 hundred thousands + 3 ten thousands + 0 thousands + 3 hundreds + 6 tens + 5 units.

The place value chart is attached in the image provided.

Which is the polynomial function of lowest degree with rational real coefficients, a leading coefficient of 3 and roots StartRoo
spayn [35]

Answer:

f(x)=3x^3-6x^2-15x+30

Or

f(x)=3(x-2)(x+\sqrt{5})(x-\sqrt{5})

Step-by-step explanation:

For a polynomial function of lowest degree with rational real coefficients, each root has multiplicity of 1.

The polynomial has roots x=\sqrt{5} and 2 with a leading coefficient of 3.

By the irrational root theorem of polynomials, x=-\sqrt{5} is also a root of the required polynomial.

By the factor theorem, we can write the polynomial in factored form as:

f(x)=3(x-2)(x+\sqrt{5})(x-\sqrt{5})

We expand, applying difference of two squares to obtain

f(x)=3(x-2)(x^2-5)

We expand further using the distributive property to get:

f(x)=3x^3-6x^2-15x+30
