Now a cyst on your ovary can be one, just a cyst, or two, PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrome). Both a singular cyst and PCOS can be treated with birth control options, so i don’t think that’s the causing factor. Both can cause painful ovulation, lower pelvic / back pain, irregular periods, and excessive hairiness. One cyst would usually go away in a couple months, where PCOS does not
