Sample Response: I think Jenner deserves credit because he took the stories about dairymaids not getting cowpox and used them to create the idea of vaccination. It was believed that people who had had cowpox were immune to smallpox. Jenner found that giving people cowpox made them immune to smallpox, so he worked hard to spread the vaccine in order to help others. Now many people are vaccinated against dangerous diseases.
