Describe how to draw a line that passes through the origin and has a slope of 3/5
ANEK [815]
The "origin" of a line is simply the points (0, 0)

To draw a line that passes through the origin (0, 0) & has a slope of 3/5, we simply start by drawing a point at (0, 0).

Then, from there, you use the slope to find your next points.

Slope = rise/run

So, 3 is the rise, and 5 is the run.

So, starting from (0, 0), you go up 3 times, and go to the right 5 times. So, (3, 5) is your next point. Just continue doing that and you'll get a line.

How do you find three consecutive even integers with a sum of -84. Please help!
mote1985 [20]
3 consecutive even integers : x, x + 2, x + 4

x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = -84.....combine like terms
3x + 6 = - 84.......subtract 6 from each side
3x = -84 - 6
3x = - 90...divide both sides by 3
x = -90/3
x = -30

x + 2 = -30 + 2 = -28
x + 4 = -30 + 4 = -26

so ur 3 numbers are : -26, -28, -30

How to now your timetables by your hands
Ivenika [448]
1
Hold your hands out in front of you with your palms facing up. Each of your ten fingers represent a number. Moving from your left thumb to your right thumb, count out the numbers from one to ten. 2 Point the finger you want to multiply by nine down towards your body. For example, if you want to solve (9x3) you will want to hold down your middle finger on your left hand. The middle finger represents the number three because, if you count your fingers from one to ten beginning with your left thumb, your middle finger is the third finger. 3 Solve the problem by counting fingers to the left and right. First count the fingers to the left of your bent finger - in this case there should be two. Next count the fingers to the right of your bent finger - in this case there should be seven. The first digit of the answer is 2 and the second digit is 7. The answer is 27![1]
