I'm so confused on this problem

Mathematics
2 answers:

Answer:

I think it is probably the 2nd option

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm not entirely sure about the words theoretical and experimental.

I am guessing that experimental means the probability that they got in the table

And I think theoretical means what the mathematical probability should be.

As far as I can tell the theoreticall probability for each part of the pie is 33.33333....

Since each part is equal and there are 100 spins

using these definitions only option 2 makes sense

Answer:

You highlighted the correct answer in you post

Step-by-step explanation:

If it was a fair spinner the THEORETICAL probability will be the same for al three areas ...should be 33.33 out of 100 ... the experimental probability is what you found by the experiment of spinning 100 times

The dark section EXPERIMENTAL probability is 41 out of 100

The theoretical probability of landing on the medium (.333) is less than the experimental prob of landing on dark ( .41)

X+3y=9. graph using slope and y-intercept
timama [110]
Well, in order to first determine the slope or y-intercept, you must put change the equation to this format: y=mx+b.
m=slope and b=y-intercept
I
in order to do that, you must change this equation.

x+3y=9

-x     -x
----------
3y=9-x

Then, rewrite it as:

3y=-x+9
_______
3      3

simplify to

y=-x/3 +9

How do you find endpoints of a line segment with a given endpoint and midpoint?
seraphim [82]

In order to find the second endpoint or a line segment given the first and the midpoint, you need to realize that the midpoint is an average of the two endpoints. Given that fact, we can derive this formula looking at x values of points A and B with midpoint M. Remember this is only looking at the x values.

(A + B)/2 = M

So if we are looking for A, we can solve for A and use this modified formula.

(A + B)/2 = M

A + B = 2M

A = 2M - B

Now we can do this with the y values of these points as well. We then have the coordinates of both parts of A.

for a stem competition julienne constructed a model rocket the rocket can reach an average height of 545 ft. Find the difference
zhenek [66]
We have the following table:
545-534.2 = 10.8
545-556.4 = -11.4
545-554.0 = -9
545-535.3 = 9.7
write them as a positive and negative rational numbers
positive:
9.7 = 9 7/10
10.8 = 10 4/5
negative:
-11.4 = -11 2/5
-9 = -9
the differences from least to greatest
-11 2/5
-9
9 7/10
10 4/5
