<h3>Given ↓</h3>
  • The following equations → y=3x-2, y=1/3x-3, y=x,  y=3, y=0 and y=3.

<h3>To Find ↓</h3>
  • Which two lines are parallel?
<h3 /><h3>Calculations ↓</h3>

In order to find out which two lines are parallel, let's find the slope of each line first.

The slope of the line y=3x-2 is 3.

The slope of the line y=1/3x-3 is 1/3

The slope of the line y=x is 1

The slope of the line y=3 is 0

The slope of the line y=0 is 0

Now, if two lines have the same slope, they are parallel to each other.

So if a line's slope is 0, the line parallel to it has a slope of 0.

<h3>So the parallel lines here are ↓</h3>

y=0 and y=3

erma4kov [3.2K]
7+5 is 12. 114 divided by 12 is 9.5 so one part is 9.5. Dipaks share is 5 so 9.5 multiplied by 5 is 47.5 so the answer is $47.50

From his house, Manuel could drive due north to get to his parents' house or he could drive due east to get to his grandparents'
maxonik [38]

Answer:

The distance is 8 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Manuel's house, his parents house, and grandparents house can be expressed as the three vertices of a right angled triangle. Thus, Pythagoras theorem can be applied to determine the distance from Manual's house to that of his grandparents.

Let the distance from Manuel's house to that of his grandparents be represented by x, so that;

/Hyp/^{2} = /Adj 1/^{2} + /Adj 2/^{2}

/10/^{2} = /x/^{2} + /6/^{2}

100 = x^{2} + 36

x^{2} = 100 - 36

   = 64

⇒ x = \sqrt{64}

      = 8

x = 8 miles

Thus, Manuel's house is 8 miles from his grandparents house.

What is the next number in the series? 83 79 75 71 67
larisa [96]
This is an arithmetic sequence with a common difference of -4, meaning that each term is four less than the previous term.  So the next term in that sequence (technically the term "series" should be reserve for infinite sequences) will be 67-4=63.

Jasmine buys the magic carpet on sale for $374. She saved $66 off the regular price. What percent was the price discounted?
Furkat [3]

Answer:

15%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let c represent the regular price of the carpet.

Then:

sale price = regular price less discount

    $374    =           c     -     $66

Adding $66 to both sides isolates (solves for) c:

$374 + $66 = c  =   $440.  This is the regular price.

 $66

---------- = 0.15                      This is the fraction of the regular price by

$440                                   which the regular price is reduced.

Then the percentage of this discount was   0.15(100%) = 15%
