When an officer or official wants to come search your home and look around for whatever it is they are looking for it’s your right to ask for it , and also they could be a fraud and liar and could rob you , so I would ask for it .
Now if they have probable cause to search your car example they smell drugs or see one or a gun with no registry then they can do that
