Which of these statements is correct
Travka [436]

Answer:

The system of equations 8x-3y=10 and 16x-6y=22 has no solution

Step-by-step explanation:

When both of the above equations are put into standard form, you get ...

8x - 3y = 10

8x - 3y = 11

This is an "inconsistent" pair of equations. There are no values of x and y that can satisfy both equations, hence there is no solution.

How do you solve this equation
quester [9]
Well consecutive means in a row, or one number after the other (for ex. 1,2,3,4). And for this equation it's asking for 4 consecutive numbers of which the sum is -26. To get this you just need to go on a calculator and just try some consecutive numbers, you'll get it pretty quickly. The answer is -5,-6,-7,-8. The sum of those numbers is -26.

Hope this helps!

Christopher buys 120 hot dog buns for a picnic. He buys two different brands of hot dog buns. Brand X has 12 hot dog buns in a p
lianna [129]

A system of equations that can be used to find the number of packages of Brand X hot dog buns and Brand Y hot dog buns that Christopher buys is:

12x + 8y = 120

4.5x + 3.5y = 49.50.

The number of packages of Brand X bought is 4 and the number of packages of Brand Y bought is 9

The following equations can be derived from the question

12x + 8y = 120  equation 1

4.5x + 3.5y = 49.50 equation 2

x represents the number of packages of Brand X

y represents the number of packages of Brand Y

The elimination method would be used to determine the values of x and y

Multiply equation 1 by 4.5 and equation 2 by 12

54x + 36y = 540 equation 3

54x + 42y = 594 equation 4

 Subtract equation 3 from 4

6y = 54

Divide both sides of the equation by 6

y = 9

Substitute for y in equation 1

12x + 8(9) = 120

12x + 72 = 120

12x = 48

x = 4

Help I luv u if u help me!!!!
Pavlova-9 [17]
Perimeter is sum of all the sides.
SO, perimeter of that triangle will be
1/4 + 1/4 + 3/8.
The LCM of denominators (4,4,8) = 8.

Hence writing 1/4 = 2/8.

so,
Perimeter = 2/8+2/8+3/8 = (2+2+3)/8 = 7/8.

So, 7/8 ft is the perimeter of that triangle. :)
