he article provides the BEST support for the above statement? A Most polymers are macromolecules and many biochemical molecules are macromolecules. B Macromolecules exhibit very different properties from smaller molecules, including their subunits, when applicable. C Natural polymers are used to build tissue and other components in living organisms. D Carbon nanotubes are an example of a macromolecule that is not a biological material.

By stating that Carbon nanotubes are not a biological material, we are being told that they are indeed a synthetic polymer, which directly supports the statement given.

A polymer is simply described as a large molecular substance with many repeating parts. Some examples of polymers used in everyday life include:

 • Plastic bags
 • Clothing
 • Fiberglass
 • Epoxy glue

etc. These polymers are present everywhere in the modern world, many of which are synthetic in origin.

The statement describes polymers that are not natural in origin but instead synthetic, which would mean they were created by humans. Though the first 3 options offer useful information regarding polymers and some may even be used to support the statement if more context is provided, the option that best supports the claim that some polymers are synthetic is option D. This option directly states that there is a non-biological polymer in the form of carbon nanotubes, thus corroborating the statement.

What must happen to the cell volume in order for a prokaryotic membrane to pinch inward and divide the cell in two?
cricket20 [7]

In a prokaryotic division, the cellular reproduction is by binary fission. The bacterial chromosomes replicate then proteins migrate toward the midpoint of the cell and the duplicated chromosomes moves away from each other forming a protein ring at the midpoint. Plasma membrane and cell wall materials will accumulate to add to the cell volume. Then, the protein ring will form a septum that pinch inward and divide the cell in two, forming two daughter cells.

In recent times, we now know tectonic plates move and cause continents to separate and collide over many years. Given this fact,
jeyben [28]

I think the government should have a plan or procedure in place to deal with the movement of the continents so as to curb species extinction.

What is Climate?

This is referred to as the atmospheric condition of a place for a long period of time.

Drifting of continents leads to a new climate being present which will affect life forms. If they are unable to adapt they may all die out and go extinct thereby disrupting the ecosystem which is why a plan should be put in place.
