This is a reading comprehension exercise. It is interesting to note that Basil and Tenzie have similar points of view. This helps the Basil family become more comfortable with Basil's uniqueness.

<h3>Who is Basil?</h3>

From the book - One Plus One Equals Blue, Basil's character is portrayed as a twelve-year-old who has a unique way of thinking and seeing the world.

He is unique and he knows it. However, to others, he seemed to be freakish. This thus creates some conflict for Basil which is resolved when he meets Tenzie an equally unique girl from school.
