Characteristics related to race, gender, religion and class directly affect an individual in the search for their present and future plans, and may serve as restrictions in the form of:

  • stereotyping and prejudice.

Some examples might be:

  • Higher wages for men than for women.

  • High unemployment rates for black people.

  • Religious intolerance against Muslims.

All forms of prejudice and stereotyping must be fought with ethics and respect, individual characteristics do not shape an individual's character and should not be considered as restrictions in the pursuit of their dreams.

It is necessary to establish in the multicultural society respect for differences, the inclusion of these groups in companies and social institutions, in order to build a fairer society for all.
