Answer:

During the Hellenistic period the sciences as a whole were separated from philosophy, which allowed a great advance in different fields of study. We can name the following events that occurred within this period:

  •  Eratosthenes de Cirene, librarian of Alexandria created the mathematical geography and was able to measure the length of the Earth's meridian.
  • Hipparchus of Nicea spent much of his time observing the sky from his Rhodes observatory, where he was able to draw up a large map of the sky with more than 800 stars cataloged and studied by him.
  • Regarding the health of people, the image of the magician disappears and the image of the Doctor is born. The health of the people is entrusted to the doctors and they enjoy a great reputation.

In what ways did these leadership qualities help president Roosevelt be an effective leader
vredina [299]

Answer:

Education and Knowledge, Goal Setting, Communication, and Self Confidence.

Educating and Knowledge: It is important to be knowledgeable about the issues that are affecting your country. If Roosevelt was oblivious and not informed on any of the issues affecting the U.S. decisions made by him would have been very questionable because he was not educated on the topic.

Goal Setting: Like any good leader you need to have a goal. Why should anyone vote you as president if you do not even have a goal during your run. You most likely would not be elected if you stated that you dont have any goals.

Self-Confidence: You need to have self confidence so that you are not easily redirected and often made to change your mind. You need to be confident in what you are doing and own up to it if you make a mistake. If you don't have any confidence any one can easily change your decision and therefore run the country for you.

Among the forms of Consequentialism, which one you do not agree with? Why?
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

Examples of consequentialism

For instance, most people would agree that lying is wrong. But if telling a lie would help save a person's life, consequentialism says it's the right thing to do. Two examples of consequentialism are utilitarianism and hedonism. Utilitarianism judges consequences by a “greatest good for the greatest number” standard.
