The probability that the selected number is even, multiple of 4 and prime are 7/15, 1/5 and 2/5 respectively

What is Probability?

Probability is the likelihood or chance that an event will occur.

Probability = Expected outcome/Total outcome

Given the following set

S={1, 2, 3, 4,..., 15}

n(S) = 15

If the selected number is even

E = {2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14}

n(E) = 7

Pr(selecting even number) = n(E)/n(S)

Pr(selecting even number) = 7/15

If the selected number is a multiple of 4

E = {4, 8, 12}

n(E) = 3

Pr(multiple of 4) = n(E)/n(S)

Pr(multiple of 4) = 3/15 = 1/5

If the selected number is a prime number

E = {2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13}

n(E) = 6

Pr(prime number) = n(E)/n(S)

Pr(prime number) = 6/15 = 2/5

Write an equation:You paid $14.75 for 4 ice cream cones that cost 2.50 each and two drumsticks that were d dollars each
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

d = (14.75 - (4 × 2.50) ÷ 2

Step-by-step explanation:

the cost of 1 drumstick = d

2.50×4=10.00

14.75-10.00=4.75

4.75÷2=2 3/8

2 3/8 = 2.375

You are cutting as many as 32 1/4 inch sections as you can out of a 129-inch board to make skateboards. How many skateboards can
SVETLANKA909090 [29]
You can make 4 skateboards because 1/4 is equal to 0.25 so therefore 32.25 is how big each section would be so in order to get the number of skate boards you divide 129 by 32.25 and that gets you the answer of 4
