The apothem, perimeter, and area of the hexagon are 13.86 inches, 96 inches, and 665.11 square inches respectively.

<h3>What is a polygon?</h3>

The polygon is a 2D geometry that has a finite number of sides. And all the sides of the polygon are straight lines connected to each other side by side.

A regular hexagon has side lengths of 16 inches. the radius is 16 inches.

The length of the apothem (h) of the hexagon is about inches.

\rm h = 16\times \sin 60^o\\\\h = 13.8564 \approx 13.86 \ inches

The perimeter of the hexagon is inches.

\rm Perimeter = 6 \times 16\\\\Perimeter = 96\ inches

The area of the hexagon is about square inches.

\rm Area = 6 \times \dfrac{1}{2} \times 13.86 \times 16\\\\Area = 665.1075 \approx 665.11 \ inches^2

More about the polygon link is given below.

Elanso [62]

Let the lenght perpendicular to street = x

Means lenght two sides will be x and x

Another side of retangle will be = 256 - 2x

Area of rectangle will be= A = x * (256-2x) = 256 x - 2 x^2

For maximum area, dA/dx = 0

d/dx (256 x - 2 x^2) = 0

256 - 4 x = 0

4 x = 256

x = 64 feet

Means one side is 64 feet

Another side will be = 256 - 2 * 64 = 128

Now we have two sides of rectangle 64 and 128

Area = 128 * 64 = 8192 square feet : Answer

Hope it will help :)

Suppose the manager of a gas station monitors how many bags of ice he sells daily along with recording the highest temperature e
Vlad1618 [11]

Our model is

\hat{y} = 2.17 x + -114.05

When x=82 degrees F,

\hat{y} = 2.17 (82) + -114.05 = 63.89

We round up to

Answer: 64 bags

Not sure why it says y^=34 in the question; I'm ignoring that.

The residual is the difference between the actual y and the predicted y,

e = y - \hat{y} = 66 - 64 = 2
