Question:Write an equation in Slope intercept form of the line that passes through the given  points (-3,4) (1,4)

2 Answers:

1: y=x+4

2:

answer would be “y=4”

to find the answer: first you have to find the slope with the given points. (y2 - y1 / x2 - x1)

plug it in to get: (4-4 / 1- -3) = 0/4 = 0

this means the slope would be 0

if the y intercepts are the same then it usually indicates that the slope would be 0 and that the answer is the y intercept.. but if you don’t understand how to get slope-intercept using other coordinates then here’s how:

you can use point-slope formula (y-y1 = m (x-x1) in order to do this just plug in one of the coordinates. in this case an example of point-slope form would be:

y-4 = 0 (x - -3) or y-4 = 0(x-1)

it doesn’t matter which coordinates you use..

then solve the point slope for slope-intercept.

y-4 = 0(x-3) multiply 0 with x and -3

y-4 = 0x move -4 to the right by adding 4

y = 0x + 4 or y = 4 would be your answer!

In a particular country, there are two types of currency: Kabuls and Carumpts. 8 Kabuls and 2 Carumpts are worth $61.70. 3 Kabul
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

Kabuls = 7.5

Carumpts= 0.85

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the price of kabuls

Let y represent the price of carumpts

8x + 2y= 61.70......equation 1

3x + 10y= 31.........equation 2

Multiply equation 1 by 3 and equation 2 by 8

24x + 6y= 185.1

24x + 80y= 248

-74y = -62.9

y= 62.9/74

y= 0.85

Substitute 0.85 for y in equation 1

8x + 2(0.85) = 61.70

8x + 1.7= 61.70

8x = 61.70-1.7

8x = 60

x= 60/8

x= 7.5

Hence the dollar value for kabuls is 7.5 and carumpts is 0.85
