Arctic peoples hunted caribous (reindeers), seals and walruses , while subarctic peoples hunted moose, caribous, hares, musk oxen, bears, elks, waterfowls and fishes.
The people of the artic cultures lived in Igloos, people of the great plains lived in wigwams, the Iroquois League lived in large wooden family homes, the peoples on the southeast lived in houses on stilts and the peoples on the northwest lived on round, large homes made of dirt.
