A Crime scene investigator arrived at an auto accident to collect information. A car had hit a pedestrian sending a box he was c

arrying into the air. Luckily, the pedestrian was unharmed. In order to determine the speed the car was travelling at impact, the investigator needs to find out how high the box went into the air. Here aare the notes that he took from the scene. A 5 foot tall witness said that he saw the box fly up just above a tree next to where the accident happened. He was standing 25 feet from a tree. The angle of elevation as the witness looked up at the tree was 45. Determine the height of the tree, which will tell you the height the box flew into the air.

A population of 1,500 insects grows exponentially by a factor of 3 every week. Select all equations that represent or approximat
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

FV(p)= PV*(1 + g)^t

Step-by-step explanation:

Giving the following information:

Number of insects (PV)= 1,500

Increase rate= 3 weekly

First, we need to calculate the daily growth rate:

Daily rate (g)= [3^(1/7)] - 1

Daily rate (g)= 0.16993

Now, by using the following formula, we can determine the population p in any given day t:

FV(p)= PV*(1 + g)^t

For, example after 7 days:

FV(p)= 1,500*(1.16993^7)

FV(p)= 4,500

For example, after 10 days:

FV(p)= 1,500*(1.16993^10)

FV(p)= 7,206

A rectangular field is divided into 2 squares of the same size and shape. If it takes 371 yards of fencing to enclose the field
nekit [7.7K]
You would divide the total fencing by 7, because there are 3 sides for each square, so that would be 6, and the one side they share would make the total 7.

371/7=53 yards for each side of the squares. The dimensions of the two parcels together would be 53 by 106.
