Zarrin [17]

Answer:

My father is a hero. Not "he was a hero". He still is one. And not just because he was in the military and he served his country. No, it's because of his courage and his sacrifice. He is the hardest worker I have ever seen. He tries his best to do anything in life and he always has. He doesn't slack off. Never has. He doesn't get lazy. He gets things done the way he should and that's how it's always been. Not only that, but like mentioned before, he served his country. He went to Afghanistan a few years ago and left for a year. I was sad, but I was happy because I knew my Dad was where he belonged. Fighting the good fight, protecting this country and serving it. Because he loves his home. And I will always admire him for that.

Kitty [74]

My brother is writing a story about a soldier in vietnam is in the progressive tense of the verb.

Generally speaking, a verb is a term (part of speech) that denotes an action (bring, read, walk, run, learn), an occurrence (happen, become), or a state of being in grammar. The Latin verbum, which meaning "word," is where the term verb originates (be, exist, stand). The fundamental form used to describe English is the infinitive, with or without the word to. In many languages, verbs are inflected (modified in form) to indicate tense, aspect, mood, and voice.
