In the reaction involving barium iodide and lithium sulfate, the spectator ions would be Li and I.

What are spectator ions?

They are ions found unchanged on both sides of the reactant and the product's sides of reactions.

The reaction of barium chloride and lithium sulfate can be represented by the following ionic equation:

Ba^+ + 2I^- + 2Li^+ + SO_4^2^- ---- > 2Li^+ + 2I^- + BaSO_4

Thus, while BaSO_4 precipitate is formed, both Li^+ and I^- remain as spectators in the solution.

The density of titanium is 4.51 g/cm^3. what is the volume (in cubic inches) of 3.5 lb of titanium?
Lina20 [59]
(3.5 lb Ti) x (453.592 g Ti / 1 lb Ti) x (1 cm^3 Ti / 4.51 g Ti) x 0.0610237 in^3 / 1 cm^3) = 21 in^3 Ti. Use factor label method to cancel out units and make sure to cancel out the units to the solution, which in this case is volume of titanium in cubic inches. We only keep two digits because the original numbers use have two sig figs as the least amount when doing multiplication or division.

The proportion of dissolved substances in seawater is usually expressed in
LiRa [457]

Answer:

The proportion of dissolved substances in seawater is usually expressed in ppm, ppb or ppt

Explanation:

The concentration of very diluted solutions should be expressed in parts per million, billion or trillion.

ppm = mass from the solute . 10⁶ / mass or volume of the solution

ppb = mass from the solute . 10⁹ / mass or volume of the solution

ppt = mass from the solute . 10¹² / mass or volume of the solution

ppm = mg/kg, μg/g, μg/mL → These are the units

ppb = ng/g

ppt = pg/g
