Cortisol is a steroid hormone that can pass through the plasma membrane. Complete the flowchart describing the interaction of co
professor190 [17]

Answer:

the correct answer is 3

Explanation:

Cortisol is a hormone that is considered as an endogenous mineralocorticoid that activates the sympathetic nervous system, it is said that its peak in blood in the body respects a schedule and it is at dawn, which makes us wake up at dawn.

This hormone once it diffuses through the cell membrane has its receptor and its action at the nuclear level, this is thanks to its butterflies properties that helps it to better diffuse the membranes and reach a binding site at the nuclear level. In this way it interferes with genetic coding and protein expression.

Where does the waste material in the body come from and why does the body need to get rid of these waste materials?
Marizza181 [45]
"Waste" -- in the form of urine and feces -- how the body removes the parts of food we ingest that is not used for nutrition and also is a way to rid the body of toxins. The kidneys filter the blood, removing "waste" products such as excess vitamins or drugs (this is why your urine can have a bright color if you take high doses of vitamin c) and liquid waste is held in the bladder before being released. Food travels through the gut to be digested -- broken down into usable bits and waste. After breaking down in the stomach, the material travels through the small and large intestines. The small intestine is lined with villi -- tiny protrusions that add surface area so nutrients can be absorbed into the bloodstream. In the large intestine and colon, water is pulled from the mass so it becomes more solid. Eventually the solidified waste passed through the rectum and out the anus as feces. The build-up of waste in the body can itself be toxic -- if the kidneys do not function properly to clean the waste out, the buildup can be fatal. When the body goes into emergency mode to eliminate a toxic substance -- such as e. Coli in the case of food poisoning -- the intestines don't both absorbing water and the result is the liquid fecal matter being quickly passed through and ejected as diarrhea.

Which statement best describes a human influence on the biogeochemical cycles?
maksim [4K]

The statement that best describes human influence on the biogeochemical cycle is as follows: increased eutrophication caused by high levels of nitrogen and phosphorous.

<h3>What is eutrophication?</h3>

Eutrophication is the ecosystem's response to the addition of artificial or natural nutrients, mainly phosphates, through detergents, fertilizers, or sewage, to an aquatic system.

Eutrophication is one major effect of the anthropogenic activities that release inorganic nutrients such as phosphate, nitrate etc into aquatic ecosystems.

However, eutrophication has its negative impacts on biogeochemical cycle as it alters the cycling of these nutrients.

Therefore, the statement that best describes human influence on the biogeochemical cycle is as follows: increased eutrophication caused by high levels of nitrogen and phosphorous.
