increase

Explanation:

Identify the interaction used to describe each type of interdependence among organisms.

✔ competition

Having too many fish in a pond can limit the amount of food and space available.

✔ predation

The cheetah population depends on the gazelle population for food.

Given the relationships identified above, determine what would happen to the populations under the following circumstances.

✔ increase

If the cheetah population decreases, what would happen to the gazelle population?

The dependence of the cheetah population on the gazelle population for food shows a kind of interdependent interaction.

What are interdependent interactions?

They are a form of interaction between two organisms in which the survival of one is dependent on the other.

If the organism whose existence is important to the existence of the other should go extinct, it will greatly affect the survival of the latter.

Aside from going extinct, the rise and fall of one of the organisms affect the other either positively or negatively as well.

Describe how you would use the yeast-two-hybrid technique to find the proteins that interact with a liver-specific receptor prot
ollegr [7]

Answer:

Yeast-two-hybrid technique is one of the most important molecular technique that can be used to study the interactions at the molecular level. The interactions between the protein and DNA-protein interaction can be studied by this technique.

If the individual wants to study the liver liver-specific receptor protein then yeast-two-hybrid technique can be applied. The interested protein that can acts as prey and bait proteins must be covalently linked with the other third protein known as the reporter protein. Then the activity of the reporter protein is studied with the interactions of the prey and bait protein.
