Product of 2 more than 5 times a number and 4 less than 3 times a number = 15t² - 14t - 8

If the number is represented by t

5 times the number = 5t

2 more than 5 times the number = 5t + 2

3 times the number = 3t

4 less than 3 times the number = 3t - 4

Product of 2 more than 5 times a number and 4 less than 3 times a number = (5t + 2)(3t - 4)

(5t + 2)(3t - 4) = 15t² - 20t + 6t - 8

(5t + 2)(3t - 4) = 15t² - 14t - 8

Product of 2 more than 5 times a number and 4 less than 3 times a number = 15t² - 14t - 8

.
How do we write simple expressions using long & synthetic division?

Explain
igomit [66]

Answer:

For not exact divisions: Writing the results as Quotient + Remainder over the Divisor.

For exact division: just the quotient.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there,

In both algorithms, for long and synthetic divisions we must write the result as an expression following that order:

Dividend: Divisor=Qx+\frac{Rx}{Dx}

When the Division leaves no Remainder, i.e. an exact, the Remainder is equal to zero, so

Dividend: Divisor=Qx

Check below for the algorithms for each division and the way of writing their expressions (results).
