The degree and standard form are correct, good job!
For the leading coefficient, I would see why you think it’s 5 since the highest number in front of x
but the definition of leading coefficient is the number of highest power of x
In this case it would be -x^2 is the higher power making -1 the leading coefficient
Hope this help, let me know if you have any question or concerns !

Answer:

close countess

Step-by-step explanation:

remember that the sign has to be postive so just change all the signs ,  then,   you'll have a leading coefficient of  +1,  in front of the x^{2},  the 5 is in front of the 2nd term,  they were just trying to trick you with that.   the last answer is good     :)

Given the definitions of f(x) and g(x) below, find the value of f(g(-1)).
butalik [34]

Answer:

-18

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 4x+14\\g(x) = 3x^{2} + 5x -6\\f(g(x)) = 4(3x^{2} + 5x -6)+14 \\f(g(-1)) = 4(3(-1 ^{2}) + 5(-1) -6) +14  \\\\= 4(3 - 5 - 6) + 14\\= 4 (-8) + 14\\= - 32 + 14 \\= -18

Graph a line that contains the point (-7,-4) and has a slope of -2/3 pls help
frosja888 [35]
Use Y=-2/3x + b
and then plug in (-7,-4)
-7 is x, so plug that in for x
Y=-2/3(-7) + b
and plug in y, -4
-4=-2/3(-7) +b
plug into calculator and then solve algebraically!
b doesn’t mean anything, it’s just what i used for the y axis, really you could use any letter

____ [38]
Answer:

x = 117km

Step-by-step explanation:

a1 = 18 km

q = 90% = 90/100 = 0.9

a2 = a1 • q = 18 • 0.9 = 81/5 = 16.2 km

a3 = a2 • q = 16.2 • 0.9 = 729/50 = 14.58 km

n = 10

x = a1 • q^n - 1/q - 1 = 18 • 0.9^10 - 1/0.9 - 1 = 117km
