The roots of the equation x^{2}-15x +2 =0 are 14.865 and 0.135

<h3>What is completing the square method?</h3>

Completing the square method is one of the methods to find the roots of the given quadratic equation.

Given equation is:

x^{2}-15x +2 =0

Using Completing the Square method we have

x^{2}-15x +2 + (\frac{15}{2})^{2} - (\frac{15}{2})^{2} =0

Now,

x^{2}-15x + (\frac{15}{2})^{2} - (\frac{15}{2})^{2} +2=0

or, [x-(\frac{15}{2})]^{2} - 225/4 +2 =0

or,  [x-(\frac{15}{2})]^{2} -217*4 =0

or,  [x-(\frac{15}{2})]^{2} = 217/4

or,  x = \pm \frac{14.73}{2}  + \frac{15}{2}

or, x_1= 14.865, x_2= 0.135

Thus, the roots of the quadratic equation are: 14.865 and 0.135

Which algebraic expression represents “the difference of fifty-four and seven times a number”? 54 minus 7 n StartFraction 54 Ove
VMariaS [17]

Answer: 54-7n

Step-by-step explanation:

When we talk about mathematical language, the <u>difference </u>between two numbers, quantities or terms is the <u>substraction operation.</u>

For example, the <u>difference</u> between a and b is:

a-b

On the other hand, if we read a numer c <u>times</u> a number n, this means both numbers are multiplied.

For example:

c <u>times</u> n is:

(c)(n)

So, according to the explained above, “the difference of fifty-four and seven times a number n” is:

54-7n
