telo118 [61]
One of the main reasons why the French colonies had trouble attracting new French colonists was that "<span>B. As a result of the "corrupt bargain" of 1824, Andrew Jackson
valina [46]

Answer:

Explanation:

First you have to know what the Corrupt Bargain is. The one of 1824 was the first of three such events.

In 1824, 4 men sought the presidency. No one had a majority, so the office of the president went to the house of representatives. Everyone thought that Jackson was a certainty, but it did not turn out that way. John Quincy Adams was elected by the house.

Jackson's followers were mad as a scalded cat. They hounded the Adams administration all 4 years of his term.

The Corrupt Bargain came about when Adams made Clay his secretary of state, because Clay supported Adams. The term was invented by the Jackson supporters.
