Suppose that a plant manager has taken MgtOp 340, and so she uses economic batch sizes for production of a product. Suppose furt

her that the setup cost is $50, the holding cost per unit per year is $10, the annual demand is 30,000 units, the firm operates (and experiences demand) 300 days per year, and the production rate per day is 1000 units. What will be the maximum inventory level that this product ever reaches?

Answer:

Maximum inventory level is 520 units

Explanation:

Given,

C0 = $50

Ce = $10

D = 30,000 units

d = D / Days

= 30,000 / 300

= 100 units per day

p = 1,000 units

Computing the optimal order size with the formula as:

Qopt  = √ 2 C0 D / Ce (1- d / p)

=√ 2 (50) (30,000) / $10 (1 - 100 / 1,000)

= 577.36

Computing the maximum inventory level as:

Maximum inventory level =Qopt ( 1 - d/ p)

= 577.36 ( 1- 100 / 1,000)

= 519.624 unit or 520 units

Kobotan [32]

Answer:

The Answer is Capital.

Explanation:

In Economics, we identify that there are 4 main factors that contribute to the production, we call them "factors of production" and they are,

  1. Land: Not just "land" but also includes all the natural resources that could be extracted and used for any production purposes.
  2. Labor: Mental and physical efforts carried out by humans in the production process.
  3. Capital: Assets or anything  that can enhance/boost the ability to produce. Usually, these are generated or created as a result of human interventions and efforts.
  4. Entrepreneurship: the set of skills required to coordinate and manage the process of production successfully.

So, under which category of factors that the computers fall under? Simple right? Its 3.Capital! because they are assets that are created by humans to aid in enhancing the production capabilities!

Sorenson LLC, a publicly traded company, has ten members on its board. Of the ten members, six members are employees of the comp
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

D. 7

Explanation:

Based on the information provided within the question it can be said that they need to appoint a total of 7 outside board members to achieve board independence. This is because in order to achieve board independence the board needs to consist of more members that are not employees than those who are. This is because votes need to be made in accordance to what is best for the company and shareholders, which may not always be best for the employees. Therefore when voting the employees may be biased.
