The didn’t distribute the -6 properly to the fraction the second part of solving should have been -6(4x)+((-6)-2/13)

No because a negative times a negative = a positive and they left the 12/13 negative when it should’ve been changed to positive

There are 5 parts of a box-and-whisker plot.

Lowest Value (Minimum)= that's the left end of the graph, and shows what the minimum value is. Here, the minimum is 46.

Lower Quartile (Q₁)= This is the left edge of the "box" in a box-and-whisker plot. Here it is 55.

Median (Q₂)= This is the line in the middle of the box, and represents the very center of minimum and maximum values. Here it is 58.

Upper Quartile (Q₃)= This is the right edge of the box in a box-and-whisker plot. Here it is 63.

Highest Value (Maximum)= This is the farthest right point on your plot. Here it is 66.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments below!

X+y=5
x×y=6
Solve simultaneously with steps
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

(3, 2), (2, 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y = 5

xy = 6

Solve the first equation for x.

x = 5 - y

Substitute 5 - y for x in the second equation.

xy = 6

(5 - y)y = 6

5y - y² = 6

y² - 5y + 6 = 0

Factor.

(y - 2)(y - 3) = 0

y - 2 = 0 or y - 3 = 0

y = 2 or y = 3

Now substitute 2 for y in the first equation and solve for x.

x + y = 5

x + 2 = 5

x = 3

One solution is x = 3; y = 2, or (3, 2).

Now substitute 3 for y in the first equation and solve for x.

x + y = 5

x + 3 = 5

x = 2

Another solution is x = 2; y = 3, or (3, 2).

Answer: (3, 2), (2, 3)
