President Eisenhower grown the range of the US containment policy by concerning the CIA in Iran, Guatemala and Cuba, and establishing his policy to defend Middle Eastern nations, was treated as the smart move of the US president.

What is containment policy?

During the Cold War, the United States used a foreign policy tactic known as containment.

The doctrine, first outlined by George F. Kennan in 1947, declared that communism had to be restrained and isolated, or it would spread to adjacent countries.

By enlisting the CIA in Iran, Guatemala, and Cuba, President Eisenhower broadened the scope of the US containment policy and established his policy to defend Middle Eastern nations.

This was the smart move of Eisenhower as it increased the relation between the Iran, Guatemala, and Cuba, and there was also the increment in the trade.

Therefore, the expansion of the President Eisenhower in the containment policy was the smart move.
