Time is precious: there are only so many hours in each day. When we do tasks randomly and without a plan, we cheat ourselves out

of the chance to succeed. We also set ourselves up for unwanted stress. The good news is, that using time management strategies can help us meet our goals. It can also help us feel less anxious about all there is to do daily. The first step in time management is to set achievable goals. Without goals, it is hard to know when you have succeeded. Next, determine what steps you need to take in order to meet your goals. Set aside time to make a weekly plan that lists when you will complete the necessary tasks. At the end of each day, track your progress and choose the top three things you would like to accomplish the next day. They should directly relate to your goals. Put your plan in place by staying focused on your planned tasks each day. Avoid distractions and time wasters, like surfing online or repeatedly checking your email. Finally, once you have reached a goal, take time to celebrate! Having something to look forward to is great motivation for meeting your goals.
