A good government work toward the welfare of the society, its citizen protects their rights from infringement, and work toward the economic welfare of the country.

What is the government's duty?

The purpose of government is explained by Jefferson the president U.S, he explains that the government's goal is to work for the welfare of the society as a whole, to preserve/protect the citizen's rights.

I agree with president Jefferson's opinion on the government's duties. The government ensures that people are treated equally, their rights are not infringed, and well being of its countrymen.

The purpose of a good government is to ensure:

 • To serve its citizen
 • Maintain law and order in the society
 • engaged in economic welfare

Therefore, the above statement describes the purpose of government.

Read this excerpt from Susan B. Anthony's "Is it a Crime for a Citizen of the United States to Vote? " and complete the sentence
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Susan B. Anthony offers two strong justifications for granting women the right to vote. She refutes the anti-suffragist claim that women should not be allowed to vote since all laws were written by men for men. Instead, she makes the case that since women are required to pay all taxes even if they are not mentioned in tax laws, all women should be given the right to vote.
