Throughout the story the author makes it the focal point to address Zuri’s anxiety. While the other answers may all be a possibility at the end of the day it’s all about the context clues and how never once Zuri was mentioned to be hungry or sleepy. We can make inference that because she was anxious she found comfort in looking at something familiar.
