People in todays society have a plethora of uncertainties toward the future. One major concern that commonly appears in the news is inflation. The idea that your dollar today will be worth less than that same dollar tomorrow is frightening to not only consumers, businesses too. Prices continue to rise while wages stagnate causing the wallets of consumers to be under a constant squeeze. Another major uncertainty that we face is the idea of informational wealth. Data that we all create about ourselves online is being bought and sold at increasing rates. Like George Orwell’s “1984”, privacy may become a luxury. Instead of the state having complete observance over your life it is now becoming companies solely focused on generating revenue using your personal data.
