A student is writing a journal entry for a teacher about moving to a new city. Read the draft of the journal entry and complete

the task that follows.
About six months ago, my mom told me that we are going to move to Arizona to be closer to my grandparents. I do not want to move because I will miss my friends. We have been in school together since first grade. Another thing I wonder about is the weather. Where we live now, we have four seasons: a cold and snowy winter, a cool and rainy spring, a warm and sunny summer, and a windy and cool fall. What would it be like having summer all year long?

I talked to my mom about my worries about moving. She told me that there would be many new people for me to meet at my new school. She explained that the new school has a program just for the new kids. It helps them get to know their new classmates and the community. She also said that my new school has yearlong clubs, an outdoor swimming pool, and even a skateboarding team. She also reminded me that my grandparents won’t be far away.

In one to three paragraphs write an ending to the narrative that follows logically from the events or experience in the journal entry.

She assures her son that they will have a good life with their grandparents since grandparents require their time and support as they grow older, and that he will meet new friends in his new home and school.

What problems do the people face in the city?

Cities have a number of issues, including a lack of housing, limited space, traffic congestion, waste disposal issues, an increase in crime, and a significant slum population.

Inadequate nutrition, pollution-related health concerns and communicable diseases, poor sanitation and living conditions, and other health issues are only a few examples.

Thus, the logical story has been mentioned above.

Can somebody give me a summary of Gumption by Langston Hughes??
shusha [124]
Langston Hughes's stories deal with and serve as a commentary of conditions befalling African Americans during the Depression Era. As Ostrom explains, "To a great degree, his stories speak for those who are disenfranchised, cheated, abused, or ignored because of race or class." (51) Hughes's stories speak of the downtrodden African-Americans neglected and overlooked by a prejudiced society. The recurring theme of powerlessness leads to violence is exemplified by the actions of Sargeant in "On the Road", old man Oyster in "Gumption", and the robber in "Why, You Reckon?"
Hughes's "On the Road" explores what happens when a powerless individual takes action on behalf of his conditions. The short story illustrates the desperation and consequent violent actions of one man's homeless plight on a snowy winter evening.

Kylie records the weights of 3 objects as shown below. Which 2 objects can she put on a pan balance to equal the weight of a 460
timofeeve [1]

The question is not complete, so i have attached the complete question.

Answer:

The two objects she can put are the paper back and the bar of soap.

Explanation:

From the attached image, we can see that the 3 weights are;

Paperback Book : 343 grams

Banana: 108 grams

Bar of soap: 117 grams

Now, she wants to find which 2 objects she can put on a pan balance to equal the weight of a 460 gram bag.

Now, to get this, 2 of the given objects when added together has to give 460 grams.

Let's add the weight of the paper book and Bar of soap. This gives;

343 + 117 = 460 grams

Adding any other combination of two of the given weights wouldn't give 460 grams.

Thus, the two objects she can put are the paper back and the bar of soap.
