Answer:

99

Step-by-step explanation:

pemdas states:

PARENTHESIS

EXPONENTS

MULTIPLICATION/DIVISION (left to right)

ADDITION/SUBTRACTION (left to right)

the first equation you would do is 3*4 as it is in the most inner parenthesis and is a multiplication equation

3*4 = 12

then add 12 to 5

12 * 5 = 17

(4^2 + 17) * 3 is what you have left

the next thing you do is the exponent

4^2 is 4*4 or 16

then add 16 to 17

16 + 17 = 33

then at the end

you multiply it by 3

33 * 3 = 99

your answer is 99

Answer:

[( 4² + 5 + 3 × 4 )] × 3

= ( 4 × 4 ) + 5 + 3 × 4 × 3

= 16 + 5 + ( 3 × 4 × 3 )

= 16 + 5 + ( 12 × 3 )

= 16 + 5 + 36

= 21 + 36

= 57

Radda [10]
To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:
1. You have that Darren can get to work in 30 minutes and with the traffic and lights, he can average 30 mph. Therefore, you must apply the formula for calculate the distance, which is:
d=Vt

Where V is the speed and t
is the time.
2. The time in hours is:
30 min=1/2 h

3. Substituying values, you have:
d=(30 mph)(1/2 h) \\ d=15 miles
The answer is:15 miles
