Other than things that need to be written out completely, like a quote or number , the BODY of your speaking outline should not
have full sentences & paragraphs. The body of your speaking outline should be made up only of A. Questions you plan to ask your audience after the speech to learn how well they understand your topic
B. Maps , charts & other visual aids
C. Key words & phrases
D. Lists you brainstormed while deciding what topic to speak about
When speaking to an audience, never read verbatim off of anything! Using key words and phrases will help the speaker in transitioning to their next point without being confusing, like option b.
