I'm not fully sure but if i were to put it in my own words i would say that if an author focuses on a characterization then there would be some important about the character and that he/she is allowing you to see things that characters way because when a author does characterization they might possibly bring in what the character is thinking about, and when you know what a character is thinking about it can help the reader with the theme in some cases.

Answer:

Because volunteering gives a high schooler perspective. It shows to them others who are struggling if they are helping at a homeless shelter. They get appreciated and get to do good for no reason. It makes someone feel good when they are thanked for doing something small. It helps them put their feet in the other shoes. Though they may dread it still should teach them a lesson even if it takes them a decade to realize it. It also helps them learn new skills if they are helping out at a kitchen, if they are being a teachers assistant etc. It is valuable to know how to help others and later appreciate those who are volunteering at something someone else is doing.

Hope this helps!

Read the excerpt from Common Sense. "Some Massanello may hereafter arise, who, laying hold of popular disquietudes, may collect
ehidna [41]

What Paine aimed to illustrate in this fragment of his book Common Sense was the force of the group of men described.

Thomas Paine's Common Sense was directed to the inhabitants of America right before the revolution started, specially to the very numerous middle class, and instigated them to revolt against the English ruling. He explained the negative impacts of the British ways and how their dominance was unecessary. The American population should not be paying taxes to the Brithish or obey their rules. So he asked Americans to come into action and break the British system, which means, to truly start a revolution.

The whole book tries to call upon the force and the strenght of the Americans to initiate a rebellion against the oppresors and to trigger the end of an era. Actually, Thomas Paine (1737-1809) is one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.

Read the excerpt below and answer the question.
Alisiya [41]

The tone of this excerpt from Maureen Daly's famous story "Sixteen" is primarily intimate, but also frank, sentimental, chatty, colloquial, and a little bit impassioned. The narrator is describing, informally and enthusiastically, a casual, but seemingly very cherished, encounter with a boy, and she appears to be very comfortable sharing her intimate feelings with her interlocutor, judging by some of her expressions - "don't be silly, I told you before, I get around," "Don't you see? This was different," or "It was all so lovely."
