Answer:

The answer is 340ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given diagram

Height a= 12ft

Base b= 10 ft

The square pyramid when unfolded has

1. 4 triangular parts

2. A square part

Hence the surface area of the square pyramid = 4 triangular parts plus square part

We know that the area of a triangle

A=1/2b*h

A= 1/2(10*12)

A= 120/2

A= 60ft²

Area of all 4 triangle = 60*4=

240ft²

Also area of square base

A= b²

A= 10²

A=100ft²

Total surface area = 240+100= 340ft²

Find the area of the composite shape. Use 3.14 for ni and round to the nearest hundredth.
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

49.12 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a circle = Pi x r^2

= 3.14 x 4^2

= 3.14 x 16

= 50.24

Half the circle = 25.12 squared inches

Area of a triangle = base x height /2

= 6 x 8 /2

= 24

25.12 + 24 = 49.12 square inches
