Calculate the area of the shaded region in the rectangle.<br> 20'<br> 5'<br> 12<br> 7
ioda

Answer:

20 x 12 = 240(total area)

20 - 7 = 13(base)

12 - 5 = 7(height)

13 x 7 = 91

91 divided by 2 (x 1/2) = 45.5

Now we subtract the area of the non shaded region from the shaded region.

240 - 45.5 = 194.5 is your answer.

Svetlanka [38]

Answer:   a. 45 = k

                 b. d/t = 45

                 c. d = 45t

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

The constant of proportionality (k) equals y divided by x if it is a direct variation.  In the given problem, y is represented by distance (d) and x is represented by time (t).

a)\quad \dfrac{d}{t}=k\\\\\\.\qquad \dfrac{90}{2}=k\\\\\\.\qquad 45=k\\\\\\b)\quad \dfrac{d}{t}=k\\\\\\.\ \quad \dfrac{d}{t}=45\\\\\\c)\quad \text{multiply both sides by t:}\\.\qquad d=45t

What are some factors that could affect a balls bounce? Why might a ball bounce higher or lower than the regulated height?
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

how much it weighs: if a ball weighs 1 oz it'll bounce higher

its size: if a ball is small and light it will most likely bounce higher but if its large and heavy it probably wont bounce as high.

( i know its only 2 factors but its right of the top of my head so...… hope i helped...  :)

A section of a railway has a slope of approximately 0.46. In this section, a vertical change of 1 unit corresponds to a horizont
Ulleksa [173]
The slope is the vertical change per 1 unit of horizontal change so:
v = vert cahnge
h = hor change

slope = v / h
.46 = 1 / h

so solve that equation for h and that's your answer
