One of the elements of art is color; and one of the principles of design is movement.
Movement can be displayed in a photograph if taken whilst an object is moving, therefore it could appear in a photograph if the figure is walking, running, and so on.
Color can easily be displayed in a photograph if it is taken with color. Otherwise, if it is taken without, then color can be added later on using paints or dyes.
The sensor: The most obvious difference between film and digital is the sensor used to take the photo. With film cameras a film sensitive to light is placed behind the lens. When a photo is taken the shutter opens for a predetermined period of time and light hits the film. The result is a photo "printed" on the film.
