Answer: So, I chose to write a letter from a young girl's perspective about being granted permission to leave her home town Athena, and visit Sparta. She writes a letter to her family about what she's learning and what she's seeing on her desired adventure…

Letter:

Dear loving family,

I hope you all have been okay while I have been on this long admired adventure. I have been seeing so many new things in the city of Sparta. It has been incredibly different from the city we live in momma and Poppa. I’ve learned that Sparta is interestingly ruled by two kings until they die. Even though that is a dark fact pops it's sure an interesting one. As the young girl I am, I should let you guys know I have been carrying myself the best I can. I have been holding my head up high and kindly rejecting the men who try to pry a ring on my finger; as I know you both have plans for who I am to marry in the future.

The way of life here is so simple momma. The men mainly dedicate themselves to military service and are extremely loyal and kind to the women. Back home that is somewhat different than here. I haven’t quite learned much about democracy but this is surely a pure example of a democratic government. Although young women shouldn't indulge in such studies I do find it quite interesting how easy life is here in this city. Sparta has many farming lands and animals we have about the same which is something I found interesting as well as it is one of our common similarities. The food here is extremely different from ours though. These people are a bit scary. They find interest in drinking pig blood and black broth and well, we Athens find it better to enjoy bread, made from wheat, and porridge, made from barley.

I’m sure you'll find this quite interesting to learn, but our people aren't so different from the people here. These people speak the same language, they also have slaves, they trade as we do, and even follow some of the same religious practices as we do. Our differences are equal but so many. Sparta has won the war against our people and this sure seems like a closed society. The young boys here about my age are already being trained to fight in the military. I find it very spectacular that they aren't interested heavily in the arts of education like we are.

Although I could write for days on days about how wonderful and different this civilization is, they are taking me for other sightseeings. I hope to tell you all the great tales about it when I arrive back home!

(you can change/alter this letter in any way you wish) I HOPE this helps!! :)

Briefly describe the burton Triumvirate, including positions held by the three men.
Leona [35]

Answer:

Explanation:

The term Bourbon Triumvirate refers to Georgia's three most powerful and prominent politicians of the post-Reconstruction era: Joseph E. Brown, Alfred H. Colquitt, and John B. Gordon. This trio practically held a lock on the state's U.S. Senate seats and governor's office from 1872 to 1890: Brown as senator from 1880 until 1890; Colquitt as governor from 1876 through 1882, and as senator from 1883 until 1894; and Gordon as senator from 1872 until 1880, governor from 1886 until 1890, and senator again from 1891 until 1897. The political careers of all three men benefited from their service during the Civil War (1861-65); Brown had served as the governor of Confederate Georgia, and Colquitt and Gordon had both risen to the rank of major general in the Confederate army by the war's end.
