Answer:

1. Nucleotides

2. Amino acids

3. Amino acids

4. Glucose

Explanation:

All the above substance described are biomolecules. They are all polymers i.e. complex molecule bond together in a long repeating chain, made up of simpler subunits called monomers. The monomers of the different biomolecules outlined above are:

1. The nucleic acids, DNA and RNA carry genetic information and are made up of many NUCELEOTIDES. A nuceleotide is a chemical combination of a five carbon sugar (pentose), phosphate group and nitrogenous base. These nucleotides are arranged sequentially to form nucleic acids (RNA and DNA).

2. Myoglobin is a protein that binds oxygen molecules and is a polymer of AMINO ACIDS. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. They are arranged to form a 3D structure that determines the function of the protein.

3. Insulin is a protein hormone that regulates blood glucose levels and is a polymer of AMINO ACIDS. All proteins are made up of the amino acid but the protein's function is dependent on the 3D structure formed by the amino acid sequence.

4. Animals store energy in the form of glycogen, a carbohydrate made up of thousands of monosaccharide (GLUCOSE). Glycogen is a polysaccharide made up of many monosaccharide units. These units are glucose molecules that are multibranched to form the glycogen that stores mainly in the liver and muscles of animals.

What role do photosynthesis and respiration play in the distribution of gases in seawater?
nydimaria [60]

Answer and explanation;

-The most important life processes in the oceans or sea water are photosynthesis and respiration. Photosynthesis by plants and  other lower organisms uses sunlight to convert CO2 and H2O to a carbohydrate compound; O2 is a by-product of that reaction. Respiration is the process that all organisms use to recover the chemical energy stored in organic compounds. O2 is used to oxidize organic matter and release chemical energy; CO2 and H2O are by-products.

-The rates of photosynthesis and respiration are nearly balanced.all of the organic matter produced by photosynthetic algae is respired by consumer and decomposing organisms.

A client with atrial fibrillation is being discharged home after being stabilized with medications, including digoxin. Which of
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

The options

1. “I must visit my health care provider (HCP) to check my drug levels.”

2. “I should report to my HCP if I develop nausea and vomiting.”

3. “I should tell my HCP if I feel my heart skip a beat.”

4. “I will need to increase my potassium intake.”

The CORRECT ANSWER IS 4.

4. “I will need to increase my potassium intake.”

Explanation:

Drug toxicity is seen to happen frequently in clients with digoxin as a result of its little therapeutic range. Many factors that are being responsible for it (eg, hypokalemia) may lead to toxicity.

However, when other contributing factors are absent, potassium intake might not necessary be increased even when a client is on digoxin.

In conditions where the client uses some other potassium-decreasing medications, take for example diuretics, potassium supplements can be taken .

Signs and symptoms of digoxin toxicity are:

1.Gastrointestinal symptoms such as anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain are most often the notable symptoms

2).Neurologic manifestations which includes lethargy, fatigue, weakness, confusion etc.

The ratio of estrogen to progesterone remains constant throughout pregnancy into labor. false/true
Lady_Fox [76]

False,

In order to start labor, estrogen increases and progesterone decreases.

Estrogens are a class of hormones that are essential for women's healthy sexual and reproductive development. They are sex hormones as well. The majority of estrogen hormones are produced by a woman's ovaries, however minor quantities are also produced in modest amounts by the adrenal glands and fat cells.

Progesterone is a member of the progestin drug class (female hormones). By lowering the level of estrogen in the uterus, it functions as a component of hormone replacement treatment. By substituting for the natural progesterone that some women lack, it helps to initiate menstruation.
