On a particularly busy day, a student taking Anatomy and Physiology I does not have anything to drink from 9:30 am until 6:30 pm

. Osmoreceptors in the brain detect the decreased level of water in the blood. These receptors send a signal to the hypothalamus/posterior pituitary, which stimulates the release of antidiuretic hormone (ADH). This hormone acts on the nephron tubules and collecting ducts in the kidney to increase reabsorption of water, which returns that water to the blood. This retention of water has the additional effect of decreasing urinary output. As the fluid levels in the blood stabilize, the release of ADH ends.

On a particularly busy day, a student taking Anatomy and Physiology I does not have anything to drink from 9:30 am until 6:30 pm. Osmoreceptors in the brain detect the decreased level of water in the blood. These receptors send a signal to the hypothalamus/posterior pituitary, which stimulates the release of antidiuretic hormone CADH). This hormone acts on the nephron tubules and collecting ducts in the kidney to increase reabsorption of water, which returns that water to the blood. This retention of water has the additional effect of decreasing urinary output. As the fluid levels in the blood stabilize, the release of ADH ends. 1. What is the variable monitored by this loop? 2. What is the stimulus? 3. What is the control center? 4. What is the effector? 5. What is the efferent pathway? 6. This is an example of_(positive / negative) feedback. How could you tell

Answer:

1, variable- the water potential of the blood.

7. How are a white dwarf and a planetary nebula related?
Gennadij [26K]
The white dwarf will be surrounded by an expanding shell of gas in an object known as a planetary nebula. They are called this because early observers thought they looked like the planets Uranus and Neptune. There are some planetary nebulae that can be viewed through a backyard telescope. :) I hoped this helped !

11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

Women can be carriers of the color blind gene and pass the mutation down the family line. If only the father is color blind, there is a 100% chance that his daughters will carry the gene, but they will not be color blind themselves. His sons will neither carry the gene nor be color blind.
