Answer: 5 with an open circle facing the right.

Step-by-step explanation:

First: you need to know the difference between closed and open circles. Closed means less than or equal to/ greater than or equal to while an open circle just means less than/ greater than.

Second: To know if it will be facing left or right is very simple. It is just if the number is increasing or decreasing in your problem. If increasing it goes right if decreasing it goes left. In this case, the number increases each day so it will face the right.

Third: To start the problem you subtract the number of shells she has already (34) by how many she needs (100) which is 66. then divide 66 by the number of seashells they get a day (12) which would give you 5.5

Fourth: I'm going to guess that you can't do decimals on the graph so all you have to do is put an open circle with the arrow facing the right meaning everything after this point, not including the number it is on.

Answer:

<em>d</em>  ≥  7

Step-by-step explanation:

A closed dot means you CAN use the number in the equality (greater than and equal to or less than and equal to). An OPEN dot means it's just greater than or less than, no equal to. Positive numbers GROW to the right so if the line is going that way it means greater than or greater than and equal to. The same is true for the left side. The left side makes numbers get SMALLER which means less than or less than and equal to. Your problem has a closed dot and an arrow to the right so the inequality is <em>d</em>  ≥  7.

A box of granola bars contains 3 chocolate chip bars, 2 peanut butter bars, 1 lemon bar, and 4 raisin bars. Iesha will randomly
ella [17]

Answer:

2/45

Step-by-step explanation:

Note this selection is done without replacement hence after each selection sample size will reduce

Given data

Samples 3 chocolate chip bars,

2 peanut butter bars,

1 lemon bar, and

4 raisin bars

Sample size S= [3+2+1+4]= 10

Probability that first selection is lemon = 1/10

Probability that second selection is raisin = 4/9

Hence the probability that the first bar Iesha selects will be lemon and the second will be raisin= 1/10*4/9

= 4/90= 2/45

Which is the equation of a parabola with a directrix at y=2 and a focus at (5,0)
CaHeK987 [17]

Check the picture below, so the parabola looks more or less like so.

the vertex is always half-way between the focus point and the directrix, and since the parabola is opening downwards, the "p" distance is negative.

\textit{vertical parabola vertex form with focus point distance} \\\\ 4p(y- k)=(x- h)^2 \qquad \begin{cases} \stackrel{vertex}{(h,k)}\qquad \stackrel{focus~point}{(h,k+p)}\qquad \stackrel{directrix}{y=k-p}\\\\ p=\textit{distance from vertex to }\\ \qquad \textit{ focus or directrix}\\\\ \stackrel{"p"~is~negative}{op ens~\cap}\qquad \stackrel{"p"~is~positive}{op ens~\cup} \end{cases} \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill

\begin{cases} h=5\\ k=1\\ p=-1 \end{cases}\implies 4(-1)(y-1)~~ = ~~(x-5)^2\implies -4(y-1)=(x-5)^2 \\\\\\ y-1=-\cfrac{1}{4}(x-5)^2\implies y=-\cfrac{1}{4}(x-5)^2 + 1

Find the value of the expression.<br> z + y2<br> for y = 6 and z = 1
kaheart [24]
If if y=6 and z=1 then the equation would be 1+6(2) and that ends up to be 13

Please help me with this question!!
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

x=10

Step-by-step explanation:

Use pythagorean theorem, a^2+b^2=c^2

24^2 + b^2 = 26^2

576 + b = 676

676-576=100

\sqrt{x} 100=10
