Width = xlength = 4x Use the formula for the perimeter of a rectangle to solve for x: perimeter = 2(length) + 2(width)50 = 2(4x) + 2(x)50 = 8x + 2x50 = 10x5 = x The width (x) is 5 feet and the length (4x) is 20 feet.

Answer:

Length = 140 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given  : The length of a rectangle is two-fifths of its perimeter. if the width of the rectangle is 35 inches.

To find : what is its length in inches.

Solution : We have given

Length of rectangle = L.

Perimeter = P.

According to question

Length of a rectangle is two-fifths of its perimeter.

L = \frac{2}{5} * perimeter.

L=  \frac{2}{5} * perimeter.

Width = 35 inches .

Perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth ) .

Plug the values of length =  \frac{2}{5} * perimeter ; Width = 35 inches .

Perimeter = 2 (  \frac{2}{5} * perimeter  + 35).

P =  \frac{4}{5} * P + 70 .

On subtracting from both side  by   \frac{4}{5} * P .

P -  \frac{4}{5} * P  = 70 .

\frac{5 P - 4P}{5}  = 70 .

\frac{P}{5}  = 70.

On multiplying both side by 5

P = 70 *5

P = 350 inches .

Now , Plug value of perimeter in Length.

Length =  \frac{2}{5}* perimeter.

Length =  \frac{2}{5}* 350.

Length = 140 inches.

Therefore, Length = 140 inches.

What is the period of y=3cot(4x−3π)
Stells [14]
Hello!

hint: we can rewrite your function as below:

<span>3/<span>tan<span>(<span>4x−3π</span>) = </span></span></span>3(1+tan4xtan3π)/tan4x−tan3π =

=<span>3/<span>tan<span>(<span>4x</span>) = </span></span></span>3cot<span>(<span>4x</span><span>)

</span></span>now, since the period P of cotangent function is pi, then the period of cot(4x), which is the period of our original function, is such that:

<span>"4P=π"
