Answer:Really this is up to the person but I believe they should be somewhat punished, so I half agree.

Explanation:Teenagers are still young and growing and usually do irrational things, each person has a different reason. Such as, it might have been how they grew up, peer pressure or forced to do it to survive. Before you ‘severely punish’ you should talk to them, about why they did it and maybe a smaller punishment. A big punishment will affect them for years and you really don’t want to put a young person through that, especially since they now believe that punishing someone is the best thing to do in their situation. Maybe begin with lesser punishments and if it continues, make the punishments more severe, to ensure that they don’t do it again.
