Woodrow Wilson was firmly anti  war and argued that the nation was forced into the war.

Explanation:

<u>Wilson argued that the state had remained neutral at the advent of the war and did not believe in meddling with foreign affairs</u>. It was only when the security of the American people was believed to be put in danger tat he had to take the decision to enter the war and take it to the shores of the aggressors.

<u>He argued that the Americans are peaceful people who were forced into the conflict by the nature of circumstance and not their own will to fight.</u>
